"In my opinion, Dr. Mauk built on his previous soprano saxophone CD (Classical Bouquet) with this collection of Bach favorites. I was appalled at the cleanliness of technique and accuracy of intonation, along with meticulous attention to authentic baroque style. He did more than his share of homework, and the result was a very successful, if underappreciated, soprano saxophone album. Saxophonists should take particular note of the Sonata G minor and the unaccompanied Partita in A minor, as these two pieces are thrusting their way onto saxophone recital programs all over the country. This CD, along with his other albums (soprano, alto, and tenor), are available from Dorn Publications. [....] All of them are great educational and reference materials that should be a welcome addition to anyone's music library."
