"Well folks, this is a great record! I bought this when it came out in 1980 and recently put it on cd. Now, they finally released it (officially) on cd. Get it, love it. You will not be disappointed. Peter Noone rocks and Pop's like you've never heard him before. With a stellar band including Phil "harmonic" Solem (Rembrandts) and a slew of great musicians. This is always close to my player. As upbeat and melodic as all get out. BRAVO!!

"This is a fine Power Pop album featuring one of the ORIGINAL Power Popsters...Peter Blair Noone of Herman's Hermits fame. I was lucky enough to actually witness this great band at My Father's Place on Long Island with Cyndi Lauper's band Blue Angel opening the show. It was a great night and even some of his former bandmates were ushered into the dressing room just before the show. Orginally released on Bruce Johnson's Johnson label, this is an under-appreciated effort. Along with Mr. Noone's next LP..."One Of The Glory Boys." Now where is that one on CD?"
Twice Nightly: Naughty and Spicey

"Twice Nightly is a 1980 album turned CD by the Tremblers, featuring Peter Noone of the Sixties British Invasion band Herman's Hermits as the lead singer. If Peter "Herman" Noone was the nice, boy next door, every Mother hoped their daughter would meet; and most did want to meet him, then Peter "Tremblers" Noone is the raunchy, naughty, spicey boy who found his way into most pretty young things' neighborhood, hot with desire and seduction on his mind. Twice Nightly is a tour de force of what New Wave and Punk Rock was roughly from 1978 until 1986. This CD captures the sounds of that period, including a version of Elvis Costello's "Green Shirt", that is better than the original. "Steady Eddy" is the one pure commercial song on this CD and could've been a hit in any decade from the 1950s to today, but wasn't. This CD is a Gold Nugget from a time that produced many lesser albums and CDs, which charted. "She Was Something Else" tells a great story with the style, nerve, and boldness of guys catching the scent of a sexy young lady, but what an ending! "I Screamed Anne" presents an angst-ridden sounding Peter Noone (akin to Marlon Brando's tortured, screaming plea in one of the most famous movie scenes ever filmed), who is certain he and Anne are meant for each other. "Dad Said" is a hilarious song about the irony and conflict in a father-son relationship; told from the son's point of view. Listen carefully and the song will leave you laughing. "I'll Be Taking Her Out Tonight" is the loser / good boy, who does more than win a date with the unwinnable girl of his dreams. If you loved New Wave / Punk Rock, then you deserve to buy this CD, for you will surely like it better than many albums and CDs that have been in your collection for years. Not to mention, if you're someone who wonders what New Wave / Punk Rock sounded like, this is the ideal CD to listen to that covers that era best. This is NOT your innocent Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits days; rather this is the Peter Noone we never got to see, until he reached his 30s, found the Tremblers, and FINALLY let out his musical "teenage angst", suppressed since his Sixties teen years. This should have gone Gold in 1980. Would be wonderful if Twice Nightly goes Gold in 2009. Don't hesitate to buy this if you like New Wave / Punk Rock, Elvis Costello, Stray Cats, Blondie, the Clash, Nick Lowe, or others in that vein. "You Can't Do That", but Peter Noone DID!"
