The Very Best Of The Tremeloes Could have been Better!

"This fourteen song collection entitled "Very Best Of... The Tremeloes" includes their most popular tunes, all of which I might mention are in mono. In fact there are only four songs in this collection that are in stereo. The Tremeloes had a few hits in the United States starting with the Cat Stevens penned tune "Here Comes My Baby", a cover of the Beatle's "Good Day Sunshine", "Silence Is Golden", and "Even The Bad Times Are Good". The Tremeloes were much more popular in their native England than in the U.S. and were pretty much overlooked in favor of groups such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, etc. Interestingly, back in early 1962 The Beatles who were seeking a record deal along with The Tremeloes were passed up by Decca Records and later were signed instead. This remastered collection sounds good but would have been much better had the entire cd been in stereo. For those who would like a better collection of songs by The Tremeloes, I would suggest "The Best Of The Tremeloes" on Rhino records."
