Excellent Breton folk-rock

"This is my first exposure to Tri Yann, so I can't say how this album compares to their others. However, I can say that this one consists of some excellent and thoroughly enjoyable Breton folk-rock. When I say 'folk-rock', by the way, I mean that in the British sense, rather than the American sense. Bands like Steeleye Span, Fairport Convention, Pentangle, etc. are apt points of comparison, although the band's Breton influences alsos invite comparisons to Alan Stivell, Gwerz, and Gwendal. Excellent stuff and highly recommended."
