"Ignore poor tin-eared, spelling-challenged wretch above. All of the Back to Mine series are worth having. Lately, it seemed as if the compiling artists hadn't given much thought to the sequence and production of their compilation. This is one of the most seamless of the batch. And of course, given that it's Tricky who is sharing his influences, it's sharp, smart and original."

"this album starts out perfectly and stays that way, up until the costanza song. it's strange that tricky chose her as the female vocalist on his latest "vulnerable" album, because her voice makes the entire thing sound like an obnoxious starburst commercial or something. i don't like her solo song on this album, and i could've done without the liz densmore song as well. the rest of the artists that he chose are perfect, in particular gregory isaacs, the beat, and especially the radanna song. the le tigre song is also a great choice because it is something that i never would have imagined tricky listening to, and his varied musical tastes blow my mind. this album leaps from genre to genre while still maintaining a dark feel (care of the smooth basslines carried through from song to song). i've been listening to this almost everyday on the subway, sometimes at work, and when i indulge in green sticky stuff."

"The whole album flows amazingly well. It also has quite a few tracks that you cant find anywhere else. If you bought Vulnerable and watched the videos, heres where you can get the actual track of Receive Us. Anyways this really is a great CD, and buying turned me on to alot of great artists that i had never gotten a chance to listen to before, Rakim Allah for example. On top of that this CD also has a few songs by artists that havent put anything out before. Radanna and Liz Densmore mainly,two artists that Tricky signed, and there both great. Hopefully Tricky well get around to releasing both of their albums soon."
