"Hallelujah! They finally released this album after changing the release date numerous times. But I'm glad they did because I don't think it would have been as good as it is now.



If they market this album right it could be as popular as their first album Trin-I-Tee 5:7. Especially if they use the song "Listen", this is my favorite song on the album. "Listen" sounds like a hit that would do well on gospel stations and mainstream. It would do well on gospel stations because it actually mentions the name of Jesus, unlike some contemporary gospel songs. Then it would do well in mainstream radio because it's a catchy song with good production that can help draw people to Christ.



Well anyway, this album is loaded with nice songs. I like the song "I Will Lift" because it's a contemporary worship song that gives God all the praise. This song makes it a perfect album for me because I prefer an album to have at least one genuine worship song. Then I like the song "I Need You". It kind of has an old school sound to it but modernized. I even enjoy their rendition of "Soul Is Anchored". They even remade R. Kelly's song "U Saved Me". It's not really my favorite but I kind of like the fact that they used an R. Kelly song on here since God used the influence of R. Kelly to make Trin-I-Tee 5:7's first album a success. Then just for having fun, I like the song "Reflection". Lyrically, it's not the best song, but it's definitely a fun song.



Well, I'm glad they came back, because this is one of the groups that helped me have a better view of Christianity when I was unsaved. So if you're looking for a contemporary gospel album this is the one to get.

"OK, so Tri-ni-tee 5:7 is known for being one of the most popular gospel R&B groups. But this new album of theirs is ridiculous. The production is extremely impressive, and the lyrics are excellent. Vocally they surprised me, not that I didn't realize they could sing but they really went CRAZY on this album. (They actually sound a lot like...a certain girl group, with some of their runs; I kept thinking this to myself as I enjoyed their vocal stylings and runs, and then when I discovered they were executive produced by Matthew Knowles I was like, "Of course!") My favorite thing about this album is the PRODUCTION. This is music that people outside of the church could get into, I mean REALLY get into, the production is that funky. Several of the songs have an old school sound but they put a nice contemporary touch to them.



But most importantly, unlike other R&B sounding gospel. The best thing about this album is that it is clear Who they are singing about. They don't cuss, they don't water down the gospel, none of that. For those gospel artists who want to crossover, well take notes from this album because this is how you do it.

"On the whole CD, there are about 3 songs that I really like. I especially like the title song Listen. I have purchased music from this artist before and I enjoyed all of the other CDs better than this one. I noticed that they decided to do something a little different by joining with Matthew Knowles (Beyonce's father). I think they went too hip-hop on this one. I was not impressed, and wish I had not used my Amazon gift certificate.
