"Yes, this is the barefoot dancing kind of music, where you feel the ground under your feet and the rhythm in your soul. Most of these songs are cumbias, with a couple of paseos and a charanga thrown in as well.Favorites are "Santo Domingo", featuring the gravel voiced singer in the chorus (he also sings "Como tu Piel"...what a hoot he is !), and "Cumbia Jejepa". "Las Calaveras" is also funny and marvelous, as is the depiction of it on the cover art, which deserves close inspection. There is more detail to it than initially meets the eye. The packaging has practically no info on anything, so the artist is not credited. The musicianship on this CD is excellent and the acordeón player is absolutely terrific.I love musica tropical. It's the kind of stuff that makes you happy no matter what your mood. It puts things into perspective...add a dash of humor and lighten up, and dance your troubles away kind of music !"
