"Wow, this is good! Nine of nineteen tracks are by Zola so your opinion of him and his music will mostly determine how you like the soundtrack. My favorites are the first two "Mdlwembe" and "Bhambatha". There's a mix of nine of Zola's South African dancehall/gansta rap songs (I probably better enjoy it without understanding Zulu and I'm not usually a rap fan), six good songs by other presumably South African artists and four atmospheric interlude pieces from the movie that don't really fit with the rest of the music (a little too slow). Some of the background music in the Zola songs sounds a little too synthesized/simplistic but that doesn't get in the way of Zola's energy and attitude. It would have been nice to have a translation of the lyrics, but the music is enjoyable regardless. A great companion to a good movie."
