CD ReviewsSoild music, a little monotonous Nick Damato | Columbus, Ohio USA | 11/11/2004 (3 out of 5 stars) "Don't get me wrong, these guys are great musicians and their music is tight and solid, and somewhat original. I do listen to the album periodically, however, as an overall album I find that the collection can get a bit fatiguing. The band needs to mix up tempo, key and and sound density a little bit, IMO. "Drone" is an adjective that comes to mind although some people don't mind that. I prefer to put selected songs on mix CDs where they can really punch up the mix." Way better than i expected M. Harrison | louisiana | 10/08/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "I just happened to stumble across this band one day, and now i am completely in love with their music. I read about them in Alternative Press Magazine and heard they sounded similar to AFI, but with a more poppy sound. When i heard "Pop" that turned me off, but i decided to check it out anyway. I was amazingly impressed by the outcome. I don't normally listen to punk music. I'm more of a fan of hardcore and metal, but this band is definitely worth listening to. Agent M's vocals were thorougly impressing and the guitar work was rather nice. The lyrics were fun and the music-extremely upbeat. They reminded of AFI's older stuff, and sounded somewhat like the Distillers, except more clean sounding vocals, and catchier sounding choruses. If you like fast, punky sounding music, you should buy this album. After all this is a REAL punk band, but they don't sound too much different from you average pop-punk band. However, they are way more original." This band is unbelievable theturkishbasket | michigan | 06/14/2003 (5 out of 5 stars) "Once again, tsunami bomb wrote amazing songs, and delivered them like no band. There is so much talent shown on this album, and it's their first ever full-length. Every song on the cd has great and meaningful lyrics, extremely talented vocals, and obviously well defined instrumentalism. The Ultimate Escape shows some of the lighter side of TB as well as some hard, good, punk music. The greatest thing about the band is that they are one of the few real punk bands around. Agent M supports her status as the best vocalist Ive ever heard on the ultimate escape. This cd is so hard to stop listening to.if tsunami bomb wasnt your favorite band after the invasion from within, they will be when you buy this one. You almost have to buy it. serious"
