"After waiting a month, I received Tribute to Wang Luo Bin:Live yesterday and I've been listening/watching most of the time since. Consistent with their previous releases, Tribute is a fabulous albumn showcasing their unique style of East/West music. I have purchased all of the Twelve Girls Band's previous releases and can state emphatically that Tribute every bit as enjoyable (if not more) than my former favorites (Dunhuang/Romantic Energy and Shining Energy). What sets this CD/DVD apart from several of their earlier releases is a greater emphasis on rhythym. The faster pace and rhythym of the majority of songs keep the Girls (and you) groovin' throughout the CD/DVD. In fact, this CD rocks more than any previous Twelve Girls CD and I just know you're gonna love it. Unlike previous CDs, the Girls do some singing on a couple of songs (not just "la-laing"). Although I cannot interpret, their voices are lovely and add to the listening experience. Only one of the tracks on this CD has appeared in their catalogue before and all 14 tracks are wonderful.
Along with the CD, this release came with a DVD that I could play with my US equipment. Previous releases have provided a concert VCD that I could view on my computer but I have been unable to play the previous DVDs except for Eastern Energy which contained just a few short videos. The Tribute DVD contains live concert footage of each song and the quality of the DVD is excellant - higher than that of any Twelve Girls video release I've seen previously. The Girls look lovely as always and are supported on several of the songs by female and/or male dancers in elaborate costumes. The DVD is a treat to watch and a must-see for all Twelve Girls Band fans.
In sum, the music is just fantastic and the quality of the CD/DVD package makes it more than worth the purchase price. Yes, I had to wait a bit for it to arrive as it's an import, but it's an incredible set that I think you will enjoy vastly. I simply can find no faults with it whatsoever. So what are you waiting for? The sooner you order the sooner you can start looking/listening to this fabulous new Twelve Grirls Band release. Enjoy!"
