"This is Twennynine's final album,as well as they're third.Compared to the previous album 'Just Like Dreamin' is more updated and showcases a heavier electronic backdrop more typical of the early 80's,as well as strong writing.The first sides set of songs "Rhythm","Twennynine" (the bands first ecknowledgement of the then burgeoning rap scene in New York),"Movin' On" and "Don't Look Back" are all presented in a nonstop segueing groove married to a great upbeat rhythm and a strong funky R&B groove and NEVER let's up-this is one of they're best sets of songs.

The final five songs are a totally different animal.The title cut is pleasantly smooth while the funky "Need You" brings to mind Ray Parker Jr's recent work with Raydio on the

'A Woman Needs Love' album of the same vintage.'All Over Again' is a dull,weak ballad,"All I Want" is better at that,mainly because by the middle it transforms into the funkiest on this album-this band were never big on slow tunes when they made them."Find A Love" is a great song-another great R&B-ish funk workout.So this serves as an excellent career ender for this very short lived band.What happened to them I don't know but Lenny White has moved on to greener pastures.But if Twennynine did get back together in the future on somebody's early 80's

funk version of 'Bands Reunited' I would be glad to see it,right along with Loose Ends,The SOS Band,Dayton and other likeminded 80's funk outfits."

"Despite the success of 1979'sBest of Friends and it's single "Peanut Butter" as well as the following year's Twennynine with Lenny White and it's "My Melody"

this album 'Just Like Dreamin' ended up being Twennynine's final album,as well as being they're third.Recorded in 1981 'Just Like Dreamin' is more updated and showcases a heavier electronic backdrop more typical of the early 80's,as well as strong writing.Lyrics were never Twennynine's strong point and this album is generally know exception,but nevertheless the addition of two new female singers and the more modern updated electro sounds give this music some extra added punch.
