"Wait, didn't Roadrunner already do a "Best Of" for Type O Negative about six years ago? If memory serves me correctly, they've only released one studio album since. Hmmmm...
Sounds like: Roadrunner cashing in, again.
The Good:
- "Highway Star," a Deep Purple cover that popped up on a NASCAR soundtrack some years ago is included.
The Bad:
- Aside from one song, it's all material we've heard before, and with really bland packaging to boot!
Future: I can see this one sitting on the shelves for ages before some unsuspecting sucker snatches it up. This is a virtually useless release.
Personally: I love Type O Negative, always been one of my favorites. But considering how well done "The Least Worst Of" was and the fact that all of their studio albums are worth having, this "Best Of" collection just screams "Greed." No wonder so many bands leave Roadrunner. Type O Negative aren't even there anymore and their catalogue is still being beaten into the ground.
Best Listened To When: All other Type O CD's fall off the face of the Earth."

"unless you are a type o completist like myself you should possibly buy the extra tracks digi-pak version of least worst of instead. this compilation contains the previously unreleased "highway star".also note that tracks 2,3,5,8 and 9 are not the full length versions. a money grab by roadrunner in my opinion...new cd "profit of doom" coming halloween!...peace!"
I Have To Agree...

"Everybody here is right. A "Best Of" HAS been released. If you want to move on into the future, pick up Seventh Void, a NEW album featuring members of Type O Negative. Now available..."

"What the Hell is this? Didn't they already put out a "best of" cd, called "The Least Worst of"??? This one just adds a crappy cover and two songs from their last godawful cd. Skip this and get "Least Worst..."."
Good compilation, good music, Milking yes, but no reason to

"Sure, type o negative has "the least worst of" greatest hits album out there already, and it is by far a five star album all the way. The reason I did not give this a five star rating is soley because it is a re-release of what has already been done, and a milking of the Type O Name. But, it still is a good CD. With all of the hits, and One track that many folks may not have (Highway Star from the NBC Nascar Compilation). I myself am a completest like another reviewer below, so this was a must buy CD for me, but wouldn't be a bad place for a newcomer to start, especially if they get it on sale such as I did. This would open them up to the world of Type O Negative, which more people should be privy to. These guys have been around for quite a few years, have been a funny, entertaining band that tries to stay fresh with every new album. Can't wait till later this fall for their new Album to come out.
