Album Description UDO DIRKSCHNEIDER is well known as the voice of ACCEPT at the Metal Scene. With records like BALLS TO THE WALL an METAL HEART they sold millions of copies all over the world. After the Split with ACCEPT UDO DIRKSCHNEIDER was the only member of ACCEPT who transfer the magic and the spirit of this Band to the future. So he formed his self-named Band U.D.O. and released the debutalbum ANIMAL HOUSE in 1988. This album had all typical ACCEPT trademarks. It was followed by the superb records MEAN MACHINE, FACELESS WORLD and TIMEBOMB. 1993 ? the sensation ACCEPT reunited and returned back on the scene with the classic OBJECTION OVERRULED album. The following tour was a real triumph procession and the Metal world was really happy to have their hereos back on the screen. The follow up DEATH ROW pleased also their fans. In 1995 their released PREDATOR ? it was their farewell album. UDO DIRKSCHNEIDER can?t live without Metal and so he reformed U.D.O. again with his! friend an old bandmate STEFAN KAUFMANN. The comeback record SOLID and the follow up NO LIMITS had the usual quality of all the records before. The tours were growed very well an U.D.O. played in Russia for the first time. They had more than 100.000 fans at the shows and they nearly sang all the songs louder than the band. The official last show for this tour was the WACKEN OPEN AIR 1999. More than 20.000 fans were screaming and shouting like hell. The following U.D.O. studio album HOLY became so far, the most successfull album. After a long time, U.D.O. returned for touring together with SAXON to the USA. The end of the U.D.O. HOLY WORLD TOUR was in Russia May 2001. Here the band recorded the DOUBLE LIVE ALBUM " LIVE FROM RUSSIA" because the atmosphere in Russia is very special. This Live Album include a lot of ACCEPT Songs, they never were recorded live, for example: TV War, Heaven Is Hell, Winter Dreams, Turn Me On, I?m A Rebel and many more. Also all the classic U.D.O. songs like Animal House, They Want War, Heart Of Gold, Independence Day, Holy. The DOUBLE LIVE ALBUM is running for over two hours. Similar CDs

I have no idea, but he did a great job for this CD. These are 25 killer tunes (the drum solo does not really count). I especially like some of the old Accept stuff like Midnight Highway, Run if You Can, and I'm a Rebel. These sound even better live than they do on the studio CDs. He picked some of my favorite UDO stuff too, like Heart of Gold and Cut Me Out. Odd that he did not include Balls to the Wall, one of Accept's best known tunes. None the less this is an outstanding song selection and the band sounds great. The extended guitar break in Living on a Frontline adds a cool extra feel as the crowd sings along and I love the guitar intro on They Want War. All in all I highly recommend this one, I've listened to it dozens of times and it still finds its way into my CD player almost every day." I was amazed at how well it sounded that really 5 stars is not enough. I had the golden opportunity to see UDO open up for SAXON about a year and a half ago and was amazed at how ell he still sounded, the same goes for this cd. The songs go all the way back to ACCEPT days, with songs I have always wanted to hear on a live album. The cd contains a few tracks from the underrated "RUSSIAN ROULLETTE" album and all the way through to the "HOLY" album. Any fan to Metal is a friend to this cd. For any one that enjoys listening to UDO but has never heard of Accept (GET A LIFE), then this is probably a good starter to give you a feel of what to expect from Accept. However, enough with the Accept push, this cd contains great guitar work from Stefan Kauffman and Igor Gianola, excellant bass work from Fitty Wienhold, and marvelous drumming by Lorenzo Milani. I don't need to say anything about Udo's voice as it still sound like it was 1983 and you are listening to "Restless & Wild". I can't think of anything bad to say about this album, therefore, it is a must have."
