Way ahead of its time

"The Ugly Ducklings influenced the Toronto Music scene in a big way in the 1960's.From opening for the Stones at Maple Leaf Gardens to headlining at the Masonic Temple and Electric Circus, these guys set the stage for the bands that came after.
Sounding pre-punk edgy and altogether mean, way back in 1965, we all learned their songs.
With a little guidance they would have had a place in rock history. Never happened, but if you were around Yorkville in those days, this band was the best."
