"Too many of Django Reinhardt recordings include only a few solo pieces of Django's artistry with the majority of his playing mixed in with three or more other musicians. This album is one of the exceptions that let you really hear his legendary musicianship. Although he shares the album with Stephen Grappelli, (a jazz violin player), there is enough pure Django for anyone to appreciate. If you haven't had a chance to listen to any of Stephen Grappelli's music, you will be pleasantly surprised, even if you are not a violin afficionado.
This is definitely the album to buy if this will be your first Reinhardt CD or if this is not in your collection."
