"For years, the United States Marine Corps band(as well as the other service bands) have been some of the best trained musicians in the world. This is prominently showcased throughout the CD with the brilliant sound, magnificent blend, and overall "American" timbre of "The President's Own" United States Marine Band. The brilliant verocity of the ensemble's dedication to musicality and patriotic fervor are clear in Jager's "Esprit de Corps," a piece featuring a variation of the Marine Corps' "theme" ('From the halls of Montezuma...'). The other pieces are an aural delight and will endow a great appreciation from the open-minded listener."
