"Two words not enough? OK, this is one of the all time great live albums. Ignore the critics who didn't (and still don't) get Uriah Heep. This is a great album of great live music (at least, I ASSUME it's really live, and not extensively overdubbed) of one of the best and most underrated bands in England. My oldest brother owned a double LP copy of this album when I was little. The record came with a full colour booklet with photos of the band onstage, and one page of advertisements for their previous records. I still have that LP copy, but I now only listen to this CD reissue. From the cry of "Friday night in Birmingham!" that opens what used to be side one to the final seconds of Rock N Roll Medley which closes what used to be side four, the band plays their hearts out as if it was the last concert they'd ever play. Highlights include Sweet Lorraine ("a party song for anyone who wants to rock n roll, or boogie"), July Morning, Gypsy, Circle Of Hands, and Look At Yourself. David Byron also gets props not only for being one of the greatest lead vocalists in rock, but for also being a great frontman who knew how to hold an audience's attention between songs. Particularly, I like the bit where he talks about having chewing stuck to the sole of his boot ("I keep sticking to the stage") and the bit where he refers to Ken Hensley's Mini-Moog synthesizer as a "Mood Symplifier". When I was little, I spent years wondering what a Mood Symplifier was. Eventually, I figured out it was a joke. If you don't own this album, you're missing a classic chunk of hard rock music. BUY IT NOW!!!!!"

"I saw Uriah Heep live in 1973 and this album captures the essence of the performance. I originally owned this on Vinyl and was pleased to see it on CD. For those unfamiliar with Uriah Heep, they were one of the top heavy metal bands of the era. At this point in time they were at their peak. This is a nice introduction to the band as it has their hits from the time, (Easy Living, Sweet Lorraine, Magician's Birthday, Gypsy) as well as an outstanding live performance. It appears there are two versions of this CD available. The import, which appears to be a duplicate of the original double live Vinyl Album, and another version which is slightly different and doesn't have the Medley. They both have the same cover so read the reviews and choose carefully."

"If you like good, old 70's live heavy duty rock then this is the CD for you! You get it all, rock n' roll, heavy guitar riffs, psychedelic keyboards and a clean recording to boot. I saw the Heep in concert during the time this album was issued. This is a good representation of live Heep at their very best. A great live concert CD for your collection even if you found the studio recordings of Heep albums not to your liking. Make sure you get THIS CD, with the rock n' roll medley."
