Product DescriptionActive Suspension and Clapping Music are two French labels. One was created by Jean-Charles Baroche as he moved to Paris, while the other one, based in the Parisian suburbs, was created by Julien Rohel in 2001. Both structures have a lot in common. They came to share a great artistic affinity as musicians and friends gathered around them, developing together a rather singular view on music. This common denominator is also a reality for another label-collective : evenement!; through which artists such as O.Lamm, My Jazzy Child, Noak Katoi and Concertmate emerged. Even nowadays, they keep up their activism on this low-key Cd-r structure through variable geometrical forms. All have the same passion for unexplored territories and strong artistic personalities, away from genre restrictions and trends. Today, both labels are united for the best (or maybe the worst) and this union gave birth to an object more commonly known as a compilation in a most symbolic manner. This patchwork comprises forthcoming, unreleased or rare tracks by artists from both labels, as well as unexpected collaborations and remixes. These artistic encounters have been finalised via an artwork created in common by both labels? graphic designers : Event 10 and Pixelcrap.
