"This CD is definitely a worthwhile purchase. There are some good funk cuts, with and without vocals. The real treats are cuts by artists like the meters, and in particular a song by the band that Bootsy Collins was in before joining the Funkadelic squad. Groovy. Also, length is a plus in that it is over 70 min long. I say go for it."

"If you like Jazz, Funk, and that sort of thing these classics from the 60s-70s period are for you. This CD (along with the since released Funk Drops 2 & 3) combines tracks from some well knowns (eg Earth, Wind & Fire , Charles Wright) along with artists that are today mostly unheard of that maybe only had one or two hits. This formula results in a great compilation album that will keep u bouncin from start to finish. If you consider buying this one also have a look at Funk Drops 2 & 3 also on amazon!"
