CD ReviewsExcellent Kyle Sacks | 05/19/2008 (5 out of 5 stars) "This album has been dominating my rotation since it came out. I just can not stop listening to it (I'm listening to "Fire" right now). This album is deeply psychedelic. Whether ambient, or noisy, Honey Owens manages to keep a very unique and breathtakingly beautiful atmosphere through out. The thing that really stands out about Naked Acid though, is that, unlike other psychedelic music I listen to, it is very emotional as well. You can tell that every bit of this record is very personal to Owens in some way (especially the previously mentioned "Fire").
Basically, I would beg anyone who enjoys blues or ambient or psychedelia to give this record a spin. It's kept me warm and glazed for the last two months, and there is no indication of that stopping. goodnight." |
