Don't tell us about W+CF. Tell us about the quality of this

"First off the quality is kind of muddy. Not as dynamic as the record. Recording has also been slightly altered when compared to the original. The original fades away at the end. This recording stops abruptly, no fade. It's not the end of the world, but too bad they just couldn't give us an accurate representation of the original."

"It's funny. I own this in vinyl form somewhere in the stores of my old LPs but I haven't listened to it in almost 20 years. Since then, and with the coming (and going) of Sammy Hagar, I always maintained that the two versions of Van Halen (I am blissfully ignoring the Cherone years) were to be considered as two different and distinct bands. I see that now as a lame attempt to avoid making a choice of who was the better front man of VH. After re-listening to this cd after so many years, I have easily made up my mind. Not only were the David Lee Roth years of Van Halen the better years of the band, Women and Children First could be the best album they put forth. I can finally put my mind at ease with this determination. Now, who can help me with determining which singer of AC/DC was better?"
