"In the classic style of New Wave synth-rock, the Sydney-based glamrock band Van She EP captures the truest sounds of the 80's while combining their vintage feel with a fresh and feverishly catchy post-indie feel. no, not to sound ridiculous but this is one of my favorite albums right now. for me the 5 week wait when i imported the album was a bit much, so find some of their tracks (especially "Kelly", its just great) online and have a listen. without being obnoxious, these modern rockers really managed to do something fresh and hot with their vision of 80's."
Take a break from remixing and do more recording!

"Seems like ever since this EP was released, Van She, who has the 80s new wave meets millennium alt rock formula down pat, has focused strictly on remixing for other artists--great remixes in the same style that fans should definitely hunt down. But back to this EP CD, this higher priced version is the one to get because it has one track more than the domestic version, although the song is more like pink floyd than new wave. The strongest tracks for fans of The Killers, The Faint, Birthday Massacre, The Bravery and Shiny Toy Guns would be Mission, Kelly, S*xCity and Survive--4 out of 6 is nothing to sneeze at. I also wish a 'remix' CD would be issued, collection the various remixes of songs from this CD that have not made their way onto CD single at all. Meanwhile, fans of the gorgeous "kelly" will want to pick up the CD "Thrivemix Electro 2". The Cut Copy remix of Kelly is the very last track on the CD, and while the whole CD is a mixed compilation, the song before Kelly ends cold, so Kelly is basically completely isolated in a full 5 minute remix that gives the song a little synth dance kick that makes it all that more beautiful."

"Anyone who even remotely remembers or liked Van Halen's "Jump" should, no must, listen to this ep. Van She are able to combine all that was cool about 80's electro-rock yet is able to put a contemporary spin on this style, without sounding overtly gay like some 80's music tends to. There is a darkish edge to these songs with the highlight being "Sex City" which pulls you in with it's driving bass line and ever so catchy keyboard riff.
