A great collection of songs from 'new' writers

"The best song on this CD is clearly Markell and Bernstein's "NINAS", with "Gotham!", "Joshua Noveck", and Cohen's "So Far, So Good" following close behind. The songs are witty, as well as smart, without being arch or pretentious."
There's only one thing wrong with this CD....

"...and that is, that it's out of print! If you love Broadway and/or cabaret songs, you owe it to yourself to get a copy.
While all the songs mentioned in previous reviews are delightful and deserve much wider audiences, other selections like "I Hope I didn't Wake You", a powerful paen to friendship, "Gershwin Tune" (which isn't an actual Gershwin tune, but sounds like one) sung by James Brennan and Broadway favorite Karen Ziemba, and "Watching the Show", a song about life itself(!), passionately sung by "Legally Blonde's" current Professor Callahan, Michael Rupert.
This CD boasts a marvelous selection of songs in many different styles-- some witty, some heartbreaking, all memorable."
