Worthy Collection of Assorted Hits

"Though many of the songs included are available on better collections, this CD boasts original hits by the original artists, including the elusive hit single by Ricky Nelson, "Poor Little Fool." Any CD that includes "Black Denim Trousers" by the Cheers and "Susie Darlin'" by Robin Luke is worth the price."

"Finally! After being ripped off by sound-alike (I use the term sarcastically) artists and crummy re-recordings, I found a label I can trust! This album is released by Curb Records, and the songs are the genuine article. Apparently Mike Curb, of "Burning Bridges" fame, believes in giving the customer the real thing. All of the songs on this cd were big hits in the 50's, and one of the few that has the original "Poor Little Fool" and "Susie Darlin". The variety of selections is also unique, ranging from Pat Boone's ballad "Love Letters in the Sand", to the somewhat unusual (compared to the other 12) "Black Denim Trousers", and the timeless "Blueberry Hill". There are really no bad tracks in this baker's dozen. Whether you are just getting into the sounds of the 50's or just filling gaps in your collection, this album is worth it!"
