"I'm a big fan of jazz and not much interested on electronic music. But the lounge music really makes me feel good, because of it's variety and complexity.
This album is a must buy for every fan of good and relaxing music, specially if listened after a long work day, having a cigar, laying back and looking at your stereo...
Disc 2 is, in my opinion, the best, on account of it's elaborated songs. The album concept is fantastic and it even comes with comic book inside.
Worth every penny!"

"Uneasy listening? This can only refer to the way some tracks are compiled/mixed together by 45 Dip, which at first is a bit challenging in places. But what do you expect from a double cd that describes itself as being banned in 7 countries, 12 planetary systems and the 9th dimension? This is not your average downtempo compilation.Soon enough, this weird blend of latin, lounge and other undescribable stuff starts to make a lot of sense, and I am now hooked. Three of 45 Dip's own tracks are included and they stand out within a consistently high quality selection."

"I BOUGHT "WELCOME TO THE ACID LOUNGE" TO BREAK AWAY FROM THE COMP CDS I SEEM TO ALWAYS PURCHASE FROM WATER MUSIC RECORDS. FOR A MINUTE THERE, I WAS BEGINNING TO THINK I WAS THE LABEL'S SPOKESPERSON. ANYWAY, I REALLY HAD NO WAY OF SAMPLING IT TO HEAR WHAT IT SOUNDED LIKE, SO I BOUGHT IT ON A WHIM, AND BASED ON AN ATTRACTIVE CD COVER. THERE WERE NOTABLES ON ACID LOUNGE LIKE KRUDER AND DORFMEISTER, THE DINING ROOMS, GOTAN PROJECT (THERE'S THAT "EPOCA" SONG AGAIN--ARRRRGH!!), AND EASY ACCESS ORCHESTRA, BUT THE GOOD THING IS ACID LOUNGE IS FULL OF FOLKS I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF BEFORE. I WAS HIGHLY IMPRESSED WITH THIS CD... THE MOST "STAND-OUT-ISH" (IF THAT'S A WORD) SONGS ON "ACID LOUNGE" ARE 45 DIPS' SUPER-FUNKY CUTS, "ORGAN", "PORNO JUNKIES" AND "GREEN TOMATOES", TIM LOVE LEE'S SULTRY "TWILIGHT RESERVATION", DISJAM'S EROTIC "BEACHBOY", AIM'S 60'S-INFLUENCED "WHAT PEOPLE DO ALL DAY", SOUL DRUMMER'S COOL AND SWANKY "EAST SIDE STORY", LISA EKDAHL'S LATE NIGHT LOUNGER, "DAYBREAK" AND CRACKPOT'S FUN AND FUNKY "TIPPY TIPPY TOE."
LOOK OUT WATER MUSIC RECORDS!! I THINK YOU HAVE SOME STRONG COMPETITION HERE, ESPECIALLY IF THIS LABEL (HED KANDI, IS IT?) CONTINUES TO PUT OUT RARE AND INFECTIOUS GROOVES AS THE ONES ON "ACID LOUNGE." NOT ONLY THAT, BUT THEY GIVE YOU A COOL COMIC BOOK TO READ--THE SIGNIFICANCE OF IT BEATS THE H-E-DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS OUTTA ME--BUT IT'S GOOD TO SEE THAT A RECORD LABEL TAKES THE TIME TO PUT TOGETHER SUCH NICE AND DETAILED PACKAGING AS WELL AS DARN GOOD SONGS! I CAN'T WAIT FOR "ACID LOUNGE IN SPACE" TO HIT A LOCAL RECORD STORE IN MY TOWN. IF IT'S ANYTHING LIKE THIS COMP CD COLLECTION, IT'S AS GOOD AS BOUGHT!!"
