We thank you for your support and look forward to raising even more funds in year nine. This is Alice Music 9 showcases 14 chart-topping, multi-platinum artists, plus the Year?s brightest newcomers. The CD features a sizzling acoustic version of Rob Thomas?s smash "Lonely No More", plus soul diva Joss Stone?s smoky live "Right To Be Wrong". Highlights also include new superstars Maroon 5 who turn in a warm, personal version of "She Will Be Loved", a powerful vocal from Avril Lavigne with "My Happy Ending", a blistering acoustic Alice Lounge performance by Lenny Kravitz on "Lady", and the intimate revisit of "Angel" by Sarah McLachlan. Music fans will also love the delicate piano and vocal take on the meaningful "Chariot" from emerging artist Gavin DeGraw, as well as mesmerizing British stars Keane with a personal and passionate "Somewhere Only We Know". All net proceeds from This is Alice Music 9 will be shared by The Breast Cancer Recovery Program at California Pacific Medical Center, The Community Breast Health Project, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the Carol Franc Buck Breast Care Center at UCSF. Alice will also make a contribution to Art for Recovery to fund the creation of the Breast Cancer Quilts. Alice @ 97.3 is committed to the success of this project and will launch a major on-air campaign with retail tags to build awareness and drive in-store traffic. The two-month campaign will feature live and produced announcements along with an extensive breast cancer awareness section on radioalice.com. The marketing message will kick off at Alice?s Now & Zen Fest September 25th in Golden Gate Park with a special display of the Breast Cancer Quilts to heighten consumer interest of the October 18, 2005 release date.
