"Not being around until the mid 80s I never got the chance to go to wigan casino. But Im a massive music fan and I love all this stuff.
For anyone who was a northern soul fan Im sure this thing will bring back from fond memories. Anytime I play it when my mums around shes forever singing along and dancing (its a shame for me lol).
For anyone who never got the chance to enjoy true northern soul this is probably the most definitive guide. It'll make you smile and sing like a madman because all the tracks are so damn catchy! And its really fun on a kitsch level too.This would have got a full five stars if it wasn't for the second CD. Its really good up until half way thru. After Tainted Love the whole CD just trails off into boring filler tracks.
BUT saying all this its still well worth the money and I would recommend it to anyone who likes northern soul or wants to try to like it."

"I'm a transplanted Brit and this CD brought back years of great memories. All the great floor shakers of the allnighters. I used to dance at Wigan Casino back in the 70's and I couldn't wait to listen to it. Well worth the money. It really had a brillant asortment of all the old hits. This CD really kept the faith!"
