Synopsis

Product Description
Radio Free Abattoir is now available on CD! With nearly 4000 listeners a day since going online in 1999, Radio Free Abattoir (RFA) is one of the most popular and longest-running dark alternative radio shows on the Internet. "The Best of Radio Free Abattoir 2004" features 18 of the best artists to appear on the show last year. All selections were personally picked by RFA's founder, longtime UK & US gothic club DJ Sam Bradford ("SamSam"). Like the RFA web casts, the artists appearing on this CD are from throughout the US, Europe & beyond. The genres range from gothic to Darkwave, from industrial to babydoll punk, and more. Each song represents the best track from the most exciting artists to be found on RFA. This is without a doubt the finest dark alternative compilation to be released in many years, if not ever. Highlights include Collide, Scary Bitches, Ikon, Living with Eating Disorders & Kuma. The CD also features previously un-released tracks from Miss T & the Japanese Tourists, Razor Blade Kisses and Into the Fray. Mick Mercer, gothic history guru, writes about the CD: "A highly recommended compilation this, not afraid to include a broad sweep of styles, because in choosing bands with distinctive singers it is generally very interesting and, more often than not, exciting."
