"Rai is North African pop music, an energetic blend of world-ranging melodies and a Big Beat. This is an entertaining and very easy to listen to collection of some very good Rai musicians from several different countries. While the collection doesn't emphasize the social commentary & protest elements of the lyrics, you get a feel for the vibrancy and creativity of what some folks think of as an undiscovered cousin of ska or reggae!"
