"A great album from the begining, Steel Prophet doing an almost perfect combination of "Ides of March" and "Puragatory" A song which you want to turn on very loud. "the trooper" is also carried perfectly into death metal form. Opeth also does a melodic but heavy version of "remember tomorow." The weak point in the album comes in "to tame a land" and "strangeworld" which seem to change the genre of the two songs enough to make them diffrent. Opera IX does a awesome version of "rime of the ancient mariner" giving it a darker yet still heavy form, with a perfect contrast of voices. And last is "transylvania" improved in my opinion over the original version in a more steady and faster version of the original. A two minute instrumental that can be played over and over without loosing any value. Any metal fan should get this album."

"both the iron maiden tributes one and two are excellent .i really enjoy hearing other band pay tribute to legendary metal bands maiden.opeth does excellent cover of remember tomorrow. Morgion does really really great cover of tame a land.and ancient wisdom-powerslave ..but the one i was amazed at was opera ix's cover of rime of the ancient mariner. really excellent cd and a must be for all maiden and metal fans i highly recommend it to all thanks cya."

"A tribute album for Maiden? Alright! I guess they're not forgotten and it's nice to see people show their respect for England's greatest metal act. Anyway, this tribute is not much vocally since no amatuers are going to out do Bruce. For that matter, the singers of each band could use a few singing lessons. Even though they aim to sound heavy as death metal, and Maiden is not death metal, I think Paul Dianno is a better singer than most of the bunch here. However, what makes the album worth listening to is the incredible rendition of "To Tame A Land". Real heavy is this version and I love the opening medley. Maiden must be thinking:"Hey! How come we didn't play an opening like that way back then?" For the true die hards. WARNNING: DON'T EXPECT A MAIDEN CALIBER PERFORMANCE."
