Capitol Records Nashville is releasing an all-female holiday album including some of the top vocalists in both country and Christian music. Christmas Angels includes new recordings of timeless holiday favorites from some of country music's most powerful and soulful vocalists: Amber Dotson, Jamie O'Neal, Jennifer Hanson, Cyndi Thomson--and two of Christian music's top stars, Bethany Dillon and Nichole Nordeman.Newcomer Amber Dotson, who is known for her sassy new Capitol Records Nashville single "I Ain't Your Mama," kicks off the album with her smooth and smoky version of the classic "Blue Christmas." There are also several familiar voices appearing on this album, including Tanya Tucker, who lends her distinctive style to "Winter Wonderland," and Suzy Bogguss, who sings the lively and fun "Two-Step 'Round the Christmas Tree."Capitol Records Nashville artist Jamie O'Neal contributes an amazing powerhouse version of "O Holy Night." Jamie is riding high with her latest single "Somebody's Hero" (from her album Brave) which rose to become a Top 3 hit on the Hot Country Singles chart.Other artists included on the album are Jennifer Hanson, Cyndi Thomson, Deana Carter, Bethany Dillon, Nichole Nordeman, and Alison Krauss.
