"CD ONE
1. Herd & Fitz Feat. Abagail Bailey - I Just Can't Get Enough (Freemasons Mix) ... B-
Nothing overly interesting - decent house.
2. Mylo Feat. Miami Sound Machine - Dr. Pressure ... A-
A ridiculously catchy cover of Gloria Estefan's hit, put in a blender with Mylo's "Drop the Pressure".
3. PussyCat Dolls - Don't Cha (Ralphi's Hot Freak Mix) ... A-
A great remix of the pop song everyone knows. Actually better than the original, but it would be good to have the Busta Rhymes rap in there.
4. LMC Feat. Rachel McFarlane - You Get What You Give (Dub Mix) ... B+
Not very original or interesting, but great vocals.
5. Faithless - Insomnia (Sasha's BA Mix) ... B-
The original was so good, but this sounds like a badly done revamp of it. It's only good when the music from the original comes in. Sounds pretty empty overall.
6. United Nations Feat. Laura More - Ai No Corrida (Sharp Boys Club Mix) ... B-
Uninteresting house/dance-pop.
7. Kelly Llorenna - Nobody Like You (LMC Remix) ... B+
A happy ditty by Kelly, but why house?! Her trance hits are magical - especially her new cover of Donna Summer's "This Time I Know It's For Real". Also, this song is way too short - only a little bit over two minutes. But she's still one of my favorite trance vocalists of all time.
8. Andrew Spencer Feat. Pit Bailey - I'm Always Here ... B-
Track #6 all over again.
9. Rythme Fatal Feat. Redd Angel - Man in the Mirror ... B-
A cover of Michael Jackson? And not even a good one!
10. BCD Project Feat. Becky Lane - Infinity (You and Me) ... B+
FINALLY! SOME TRANCE!!!! Decent vocals, and pumping music.
11. Flip & Fill - Six Days (Alex K Remix) ... B+
I don't like Alex K's music or remixes - not my style - but it's at least trance. But the vocals are cool (beyond the "Step Back It's Alex K" stuff) and it's borderline catchy.
12. Rachel Stevens - I Said Never Again (But Here We Are) (Flip & Fill Mix) ... B+
Flip & Fill are losing their Midas Touch of remixing which they had in full force on Clubland 5. This is pretty dull compared to their previous remixes.
13. Groove Coverage - Runaway (Flip & Fill Remix) ... B+
Read what I wrote for Track #12.
14. Route 1 Feat. Jenny Frost - Crash Landing ... A
The best track on the first disc, and one of my favorites from the album. Great vocals, great lyrics, and very catchy. I'm torn over this (the original) and the DJ Demand mix on Clubland 7.
15. Tina Cousins - Wonderful Life ... B
"Hymn" on Clublands 5 and 6 was so good - trance at its best - but now she's going to dance pop? And mediocre dance pop at that? Tina, come on!
16. Andrea T Mendoza - Can't Fake It (Tibet Vocal Mix) ... B-
Sounds kind of retro but still nothing to get excited about.
17. Hi-Tack - Say Say Say (Waiting 4U) (Tocadisco Remix) ... A-
A pumping song which is very famous in the UK right now. It's pretty catchy and the highly electric music is quite good.
18. Inaya Day - Hold Your Head Up High (Riffs and Rays Remix) ... B+
Good song.
CD TWO
1. Dannii Minogue & The Soul Seekers - Perfection ... B
Dannii's music is great, but this is embarrassingly mediocre for her.
2. Cream vs The Hoxtons - Sunshine of Your Love (Club Mix) ... B+
Nice beat.
3. Sugababes - Push the Button (DJ Prom Mix) ... A-
I didn't like the original, but this is a cool remix of it.
4. Freemasons Feat. Amanda Wilson - Love on My Mind ... B-
Nothing interesting here.
5. Steve Mac Feat. Steve Smith - Lovin' You More ... B-
Yet again, nothing to get excited about here.
6. Pawn Shop - Shot Away ... B
Good music, but that's the only memorable thing here.
7. Bodyrockers - Round & Round ... B+
A lot like "I Like the Way", but somewhat different. This is actually good house.
8. Todd Terry Feat. Martha Wash & Jocelyn Brown - Keep on Jumpin' (Disco Darlings Mix) ... B-
They've made this song unoriginal and boring through a mediocre new-age remix.
9. Sex on Monday - Bring Back the Love (Hold Me Down) (Soul Avengerz Remix) ... B-
Absolutely nothing interesting here.
10. Majda Players - Come With Me ... A-
Amazing music, bad lyrics.
11. Black Fras - Moving Into Light (Freemasons Vocal Mix) ... B-
Back to mediocrity!
12. DJ Peter Presta Feat. Bonse - Totally Hooked ... B-
That's strange, because I'm not.
13. Liz McLarnon - Woman in Love (Soul Seekers Dub) ... B-
PLEASE STOP THE MEDIOCRE HOUSE! I WANT TO THROW THIS CD OUT THE WINDOW!
14. Tokyo Feat. Siobhan - Love Come Down ... B-
Ok seriously, you Clubland people stink now. Clublands 3 through 6 were amazing. 7 was OK, and 8 is terrible. I have a bad headache.
15. tATu - All About Us (Lovemakers Mix) ... B
Their earlier songs were a lot better, but this is actually better than most of the other house songs on this album.
16. Narcotic Thrust Feat. Yvonne John Lewis - Waiting For You (Sinewave Surfers Mix) ... B+
Their worst hit yet, but it's OK.
17. Mylo - Drop the Pressure ... B+
Why did they include both this and "Dr. Pressure"? Desperate? Definitely. But it's still good.
18. XPress 2 Feat. Kurt Wagner - Give It ... C+
Weird.
19. Basement Jaxx - Do Your Thing ... B+
You definitely know this. Catchy.
CD 3 LIVE
1. Ultrabeat Vs. Scott Brown - Elysium (I Go Crazy) (FNP Mix) ... A+
The best song on the album by far. While I just had to endure 34 house songs - mostly mediocre - here comes (finally) an awesome trance song. Featuring the vocals of Rebecca Rudd (who you probably heard on M&C's "Do You Want It Right Now" and "Coming Back"), this song has an awesome verse and a great chorus. I wish the verse was repeated (I always repeat the track just to hear it again), but this song is still amazing. I can't wait until the single is released in early April!!!!!!
2. Porn Kings - Pump Up the Sound ... B-
Uninteresting, but trance.
3. Access 3 - Promised Land ... B-
Wow, this is pretty mediocre.
4. KB Project - Your Love (Dancing DJs Mix) ... B+
Actually pretty good.
5. 3 Amigos - Think I Better Let You Know (Hardknox Remix) ... B+
Weird introduction, but amazing music.
6. Dance Assassins Feat. Karen Parry - Sail Away (Styles & Breeze Mix) ... B+
Catchy, but her previous hits are much better.
7. Maximum Lush - You & I (Alex K Remix) ... B+
The version on Clubland 6 was better.
8. Dancing DJs Vs. Roxette - Fading Like A Flower (Alex K Remix) ... B-
Alex K turns this great song (from Clubland 7) into a mediocre trance song.
9. Vortex - Everytime (Vortex Power Mix) ... B-
Why did they cover this song? Unbelievably mediocre - I actually prefer Britney Spears here.
10. Styles & Breeze Feat. Karen Danzig - I Will Be ... B+
A pretty good song from Karen, but not her best.
11. Karen Danzig - Wishing on a Star ... A-
Better than track #10, but "One Day" and "Heartbeatz" were SO much better! And isn't this a cover...?
12. Lee S Feat. Danielle - Open Your Heart ... B
Decent.
13. DJ Alex K Feat. Ellewood - Smalltown Boy ... B-
Not amazing, but not bad.
14. 4 Sins Feat. Vanity - Frozen (Bad Behaviour Mix) ... C
It's not really that bad, but the fact that they covered this song so badly makes this irritating. Extremely irritating.
15. Booty Callers - IOU Nothing ... B-
Great title, but that's about all you'll find interesting about this song.
16. Dana Rayne - Flying High ... B+
Good vocalist, good song.
17. Michael Sembello - Maniac (Flip & Fill Mix) ... A-
Weird remix, but a good one.
18. Special D - Here I Am ... A-
Pretty catchy, but not his best.
So, overall, this album gets a B-. There were about eight memorable songs on this album, and the rest were mediocre house. The final CD also had some mediocre trance. I am SO dissapointed with Clubland 8 because the previous Clublands were so amazing and actually stuck to trance. If you don't like house music, then stay away from this album, because it has way too much of it. The best track on the album is "Elysium", and it is an amazing song, but even that can't save this mediocre dance-pop album. If the Clubland series wants to return to the high pedestal where it was at Clubland 6, I would suggest ditching the two CDs of house and getting better trance songs."
Wow i love it

"I thought cd 3 the live CD was amazing!Just didn't want it to end!! I agree that Elysium should repeat the verse I can't stop singing it.
Didn't think an awful lot of cd two as it was a bit err like funky house with some mixed up pop songs.
but I really rate cd 1 and cd3
These cds will really get u into the mood for going out. I think it's def worth getting but clubland often do repeat songs and use old songs. But u can't help but love them all over again
