"If you are looking at this album then you are a fan of one of the bands on it and you should probably download the single. As a whole, this is not a great record.
I happen to be a Black Keys fan and the Captain Beefheart cover is stellar, an outstanding choice of cover material and great execution.
The ZZ Top cover from Mastodon is pretty great too. Personally, I can do without the rest."

"Not Garbage and Not excellent. As one reviewer states the cover versions are pretty uninspiring and not NEW twists on old songs but they are worth a listen to and owning if your a fan of any of the original artists"

"The Bl' Keys doin' Capt. Beefheart is pretty cool...Mastodon taking on the righteous Top is fantastic...but I gotta ask...Disturbed what the h377 were you thinking?? Are you serious? Has to be one of the top 3 most unremarkable covers ever recorded by a signed band on a major label...you did nothing to make it your own...sounds like a really bad (really baaaaad) Faith No More cover band in a back woods Arkansas town at the only bar that charges a dollar cover to get bodies through the door...The singer is actually trying to sound like Patton!! Not himself!! (he'll probably say something like "He's always been an influence that's why...blah blah)Their Land of Confusion cover was at least original...and they could of taken this song and at least TRIED to sound more like themselves...the name of the album is COVERED...and is not sub-titled How To Cover a Song and Sound Exactly Like the Band One is Covering...Mastodon's cover puts you to shame in originality....
Sad too, cause there's some good musicians in Distubed too...."
