"Anyone who loves old school rap and rare groove needs to buy this album and then throw a party. Anyone who doesn't love rap needs to buy this and learn a few lessons about groove's universal power to convey raw feeling and energy, courtesy of Delicious Vinyl, one of the hippest rap labels ever. From eighties hits like Tone Loc's Funky Cold Medina and Young MC's Bust a Move to more recent experiments like Fatlip and Alien Breed, Delicious has journeyed through the weird Hollywood jungle of 'alternative' music and has literally sifted some badass jewels from the sand. 'Waxing Off' is a great compilation that works on many levels: you can kick back and chill to some great rap, reminisce over the early 90's west coast hip hop explosion (we're talking two minutes before NWA, Dre and Tupac exploded), or just use this great CD as an in-car soundtrack for summer cruising or as a lounge cocktail background muzak generator. Everything about Delicious Vinyl is just right... This is one of those rare occasions where Label Compilations become more than the sum of their parts: get this record... please."
Essential!!!

"It's rare to find such an outstanding compilation like this. Most of them usually have all the same stuff. Tracks such "Bust A Move","Passin' Me By" and "Wild thing" really differentiate a party."
