"There were only four songs that were exactly like the ones that were made popular in the 50's. The rest of them were not by the original artists or I had never heard of them. Don't waste your money."

"DOO WOP CLASSICS is a rare two CD set of superb quality.



Each disc is gorgeously illustrated-- one is called EARTH ANGEL and the other, ONLY YOU. The 54 songs in this collection are the very finest of the vocal group genre. Audio fidelity is excellent. Liner notes include years of release.



Kudos especially must go to artwork and design. A handsomely illustrated slipcover houses the album's jewelcase. By opening the hinged CD holder within that case, a photo of the "DOO WOP DINER" is revealed. Parked in front are three pristine vintage automobiles-- all is enveloped in a warm red velvet starry evening. An exquisitely evocative dream of mid-'50s nightlife.



As the Chords sing on the opening track of DOO WOP CLASSICS: "Life could be a dream." The dream that was the 1950s lives on in our hearts. Captured moments of sound, such as the music in this collection, are like a scrapbook stuffed with memories that bring our dreams closer to reality.
