"Not since Metropolitan's Freestyle Extravaganza vol.1 has a mega-mix fully encompassed the true essence of freestyle as does this album. From beginning to end this album is just a wild ride down memory lane, a smooth nostalgic ride at that. This album covers almost every era of freestyle, from the Cover Girls up to some of the newer titles, which came into play as freestyle was leaving the limelight in most urban communities, and hip hop was making it's way in. The songs aren't complete, afterall this is a mega mix, but there is just enough of the song (2-3mins) to capture the essence and emotion of it. Jjust when you think that it can't get better, it mixes and it just keeps getting a whole lot better. From a Mega-Mix perspective it does have a few things that can be critiqued negatively, but I refuse to do so in this review because this, overall, is an excellent CD. I have been a freestyle remix/megamix artist for the last 16 years now, and I highly recommend it."
