To Call it "Garage Band Christmas" is very Misleading...

"...as only two of the tracks come vaguely close to being garage rock. The majority of tracks here are far too mellow to justify the drooling, bug-eyed Hot-Rod monster on the cover. It's a mixed bag of genres. Some country-ish, some slightly prog-sounding, some straight-out blues.

With The Shadows of Knight headlining, (and the oldies.com url listed boldly on the backcard), one might think these are vintage lost tracks, but they all appear to be recent recordings.

It's not a bad compilation, all that said. I just caution you against buying this if you're expecting a sound like The Sonics. I'm glad I got mine for only $6.99"
