A Fantastic Variety of Tunage....

"Gladiator is an excellent film, and the soundtrack is no exception. Released in '92, it features tracks by some of the best artists of the time, as well as the styles of music that were so popular back then. Included we have rock, pop and even hip-hop. The set-up of the album is wonderful from start to finish. We start off with an excellent cover of "We Will Rock You" by Warrant ("I Saw Red" fame). From here we progress through a nice version of "Pride (In The Name Of Love)," a great pop song in "Hold On Tight" by Tony Terry, along with songs by early 90's greats Gerado ("Rico Sauve" fame) and P.M. Dawn ("I'd Die Without You" fame). The nice ballad "Count On Me" fits in quite well at the end of the disc. The album closes with an amazing song by Cheap Trick, "I Will Survive." This is one of the true great rock songs, and is a strong anthem in any instance. The last songs here are the best parts of the disc and truly make it worth the purchase. If you're still a bit leary, just check out the film and listen to the sound-bites. I know this'll hook you, because it surely did me!"
