""The Greatest Hits of the '80's Volume I" boasts an impressive list of both contemporary and well-established country artists. It's an amiable, easy to listen to album that serves best as background music. Although it is referred to as "greatest hits", I didn't find it to be the "best of" them by any sense of measurement. The more memorable tunes were "1982" by Randy Travis; "The Bed You Made For Me" by Highway 101; "I Fell In Love Again Last Night" by The Forester Sisters"; "Swingin'" by John Anderson, and the ever right out of the box man himself, Hank Williams, Jr. singing his lively "All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight." The remainder of the songs are out-classed by better releases from each of the respective artists. A good album for sure, just not a great one."
