"I came upon this sampler way back when it was released, through a mail order catalog i can't even remember...I got the tape, it was eaten by an old radio....and then I found the CD not long after...but enough of the story, to the music.
Each artist in this sampler is amazing starting with giles reaves, all the way to bruce stark. Of the artists, i now own the individual cd's of all the songs but 4 of them...
Start with Giles Reaves...his soaring soundscapes and tribal like undertones to Evolutions set the tone...Robert Rich paints beautiful soundscapes with his 2 tracks...Tim Story is a maestro as the solo piano and guitar...Mychel Danna uses celtic sounds as his strength...Rapheal is a passionate keyboard expert...and to mis it up a little...throw in the light hearted celtic work of Bill Douglas and the flamenco styling of Gino D'Auri
I would recommend this cd to anyone who is starting to like new age...it's a great vehicle to get introduced to the genre, as all of the Hearts of Space Universe Samplers are...hats off to Stephen Hill for producing a great combination of the masters of his label."
