"This follow-up volume of 14 more top-100 hits from the extensive Dot music catalog provides a few more familiar top hits along with several tunes that have not seen the light of day on CD. Along with the number one hits "Sugar Shack" and "Green Door" are the seldom-found Everly Brothers-sounding Travis and Bob's "Tell Him No", Arthur Alexander's "Anna (Go To Him)" (the song featured in a "Married With Children" episode) and Tab Hunter's "Ninety-nine Ways", follow-up to his chart-topping "Young Love". Other interesting tracks include Pat Boone's first charting single, the cover of the Charms' r'n'b side "Two Hearts" and Ronnie Love's Little Willie John's "Fever" knock-off "Chills and Fever". Nick Todd's minor hit "Plaything" following "Two Hearts" in sequence helps reveal a striking similarity, ie. the fact that Nick Todd is actually Pat Boone's brother, his name changed to avoid capitalizing on Pat's fame. Production-wise, this set is well constructed with all the tracks appearing in fairly clean mono and the liner notes booklet providing backround on each of the included tunes. With its blending of top hits and rarely found sides, this piece offers an refreshing gathering of pop tunes from the early days of American rock and roll"
