Good Collection But Could Be Better

"While this compilation does have plenty of big hits, some of them are not the BIGGEST hits by certain artists. Kay's Husband must be quite young if he doesn't really remember Donovan-who had plenty of huge hits in the mid-to-late 1960s, especially Mellow Yellow, Epistle To Dippy, Catch The Wind and Sunshine Superman, among many others. If you are looking for one of the better 1960s collections, I'd highly recommend the now very hard to find 5 cd boxed set titled Rock 'N Roll Relix 1960-1969 which has alot more big (as well as a few obscure) hits of that decade."

There are three separate CDs within this collection, all being contained within a colorful metal box having a red and white Corvette on top. The container alone almost makes this collection worth having.
Each disc contains 12 songs and as I said, for my taste, most of the music is excellent but there are a few not cared for, such as: Cold Sweat-James Brown, Summertime Blues-Blue Cheer, and though Like To Get To Know You by Spanky & Our Gang is included, none of their other hits are. Same goes for The Mamas and The Papas, Word Of Love is there, but nothing else. And as an afterthought I suppose one by Donovan was included, but who remembers him much anyway.
Oh, well, you cannot have it all. But for the price this is not too bad a collection. Listen to some of the music and you may want this collection, too. REMEMBER THE CORVETTE ON THE BOX TOP. NICE JOB; the corvette and Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart singing I Wonder What She's Doing Tonight helped sell me on this collection!
