A compilation of Paeans to Ali in reggae (Dennis Alcapone's ''Muhammad Ali'' is the pick of these), Afrobeat and even Country & Western, courtesy of Tom Campbell, alongside curios like a snatch of George Foreman preaching and fellow heavyweight boxer Joe Frazier in his night job mode as soul brother on 'Try It Again'. By far the most inspired outings here are Trio Madjesi's '8ieme Round', which reflects the loose-limbed, fluid grace of Ali in the ring, and Jorge Benge's more Latino-tinged 'Cassius marcellus Clay', a further indication of Ali's pan-global and pan-cultural reach.
