Comprehensive soundtrack to the film

"While the American release has almost every part of the film's score, it is missing one: "Zhi Yao Wei Ni Huo Yi Tian", the song that plays during Sing's reunions with Fong (which happens to be my favorite). The imported OST contains an instrumental version of it as well as one with lyrics. The CD also contains the 1970s classics "Kung Fu Fighting" and "The Hustle" in the event that you'd like musical manifestations of the film's namesake.
Besides those four songs, the CD is interspersed with dialogue from memorable moments in the film. You probably won't get much if you don't speak Cantonese or Mandarin (although there appeared to be English translations in the booklet of the Hong Kong import). However, depending on your level of affection for the film, it might not matter.
Overall, if you want the most comprehensive soundtrack available and enjoy listening to the film's funnier moments, then this is the CD to get. If you don't care about listening to Chinese dialogue and can live without the one missing song, then the American release is the cheaper and faster option."
This film makes me want to learn Cantonese and Mandarin

"Whenever I listen to this, the music really recreates the scenes in my head for me. Especially tracks 12 and 17. This version contains dialogue--I don't speak the language, but the quotes still make me laugh. The only downside is "The Blade". Like F. Vernon wrote below, "The Blade" doesn't have the sound effects of the swords that really make your heart pump faster when watching the fight sequence.
I sprung for the more expensive version of this soundtrack because I really love this film and have seen it maybe five or six times in the last month. The cd booklet contains stills from the film from some of its tender moments (lollipop!) and translations of the quotes."
A "Must Buy" for Kung Fu Hustle Fans

"When I was considering buying the soundtrack to Kung Fu Hustle, I was a bit disappointed to see that it was missing "Zhi Yao Wei Ni Huo Yi Tian" (ֻҪΪÄã»îÒ»Ìì). Luckily, I found this on Amazon. As another reviewer pointed out, this soundtrack has more tracks than the American release including some of the cool dialogue from the movie which may or may not be a bonus. For me, it's great that they've been included even though my Cantonese is pretty weak because they evoke some of the scenes from the movie so vividly. As an aside, my favorite is "Pay the Rent" (ÌÖÕ®). Not all of the music maintains the same effect from movie to CD, though. An example of this is The Blade of Gu Qin (±Ê·æ) which is played when the Tailor and Doughnut are fighting the two assassins. I felt it was really powerful in the movie, but played by a single instrument on this CD it loses a lot of its punch. Overall, though, I highly recommend the album.
