"The price of the CD is worth it's weight in gold to hear various artists perform Sinatra's material. None of the selections are meant to sound like Sinatra, but give thanks to an entertainer who was fortunate enough to sing and record with some of the best arrangers in the business. Frank brought to the surface many tunes that were good and he made them classics. We have Ella Fitzgerald opening with "THE TENDER TRAP", never better - "THE SECOND TIME AROUND" has Mel Torme with his smooth "velvet fog" style - "STRANGERS IN THE NIGHT" gives Jack Jones something to sing about - "SOFTLY AS I LEAVE YOU" leaves Matt Monro singing this sentimental ballad - "IN THE WEE SMALL HOURS OF THE MORNING" was simply brighter with vocal by Johnny Hartman - composer Paul Anka has his way singing "MY WAY".A pure delight from Hip-O Records is this compilation. This is a love affair in song with the best of the best, singing songs made popular by the "chairman of the board" - Sinatra!Total Time: 49:16 on 16 Tracks/ Hip-O Records - HIPD 40112 (1998)"
