Album DescriptionIt's been another mad night down at the Bar Social. The music's finished, the bar's closed but we're not ready for bed just yet, oh no. Let's all head back to your swanky new pad and party on into The Early Hours. We want to hear something a bit different. Not a chill out album with all the usual suspects boring us to tears. A few choice oldies, a bit of soul and funk along with some cutting edge bits from today's finest purveyors of the nu groove. Sure we want our senses soothed as we head towards the dawn but we still want to be asked a few questions and taken in a few unexpected directions. On the cutting edge we have German nu-jazz from the Compost 100 camp in the form of the mighty Koop and the title track to their stunning album "Waltz For Koop". The UK's underground is well represented as Jimpster lay down the funkiest of grooves and The Bees bliss us out. Soul doesn't some any smoother than Faze 0's rare groove classic "Riding High" or Odyssey's "Our Lives Are Shaped By What We Love" so poor yourself a large one and enjoy. While we pride ourselves on digging deep in the crate to fide the obscure, here at Mastercuts we are never afraid to roll out the big guns, snobs we ain't, so we are proud to present Basement Jaxx, Depeche Mode and even Oasis! The new generation of Mastercuts continues to push the boundaries and bring you the finest sounds in a unique format. Wasn't it boring when music was split up into genres? Thank god for the soundclash!
