"I'm from Bulgaria myself, and I'm already familiar with the Turkish styles, since our music has been influenced by the Turkish for centuries. I believe the musicians , performing on this CD are among the best musicians of all time - it's a music that will always worth. It's just pure music!"

"This seemed to be unavailable for quite some time. I had given up on finding a CD of this, but it is available again! It sets a mood like no other. A little surface noise on old recordings is something to cherish, not avoid; it simply adds to the very creepy and intriguing ambience you get when you play this, and does not hide the brilliance of the vocal and instrumental performances. And I just discovered that there is a Vol. 2, which makes my day.
"

"I have traveled to Turkey many times and have enjoyed their culture and music. I would suggest this particular selection. It contains much of the older music which does seem to have some scratchy sounds in the beginning but does clear up shortly afterwards."
