"Here is another good un' courtesy of Sanctuary Records, MEAT & GRAVY from Bea & Baby. Great notes inside giving you the history of Bea & Baby Records. Cadillac Baby (Narvel Eatmon) & his wife Bea ran everything from a night club to a recording studio to an assortment of store front enterprises only the CEO of Enron would love. The man definitely walked the shady side of the street. What an interesting charecter indeed. He recorded the following Homesick James, Eddie Boyd, Mac Simmions, James Cotton, Detriot Junior, Earl Hooker, Hound Dog Taylor & some extremely talented lesser lights like LC McKinley, Willie Williams, Singin' Sam, Andrew McMahon, Arlean Brown, Bobby Saxton, Willie Hudson, and Paul Hankins. TWO CDS of Chicago Blues, not a bad apple in the bunch. I listened to it TWICE thru & that doesn't happen often folks. A fabulous peak into Chicago Blues, circa 1960-70, & the kingdom of Cadillac Baby. This CD is OUTSTANDING"

"This two volume cd is awesome. It contains some fabulous cuts from some of Chicago's finest during the late 50s - early 70s. If you like the rocking Chicago blues style, then get this cd set. If you are not sure if you like it - trust me, you will. I listen to these cd's alot and never get tired of them. Some of these songs were issued on another cd several years ago - but the quality of this cd is much better. Just get it and enjoy!!"

"This is the best collection I've ever heard of electric blues guitar music from the 60's. I've never heard so many great songs by so many great blues artists that I never heard before till this collection. As a result, I'm now seeking individual albums from a bunch of these artists. With the exception of just a few mainly Sunnyland Slim tracks, all these tracks have sizzling guitar & great performances. If you never were into the blues before, get this CD set as you'll become a believer!"
