Album DescriptionIf you've been wondering whatever happened to "real" music, your wait is almost over...A fresh, new sound with a vintage vibe will resonate with genuine music enthusiasts when Marc's Project debuts later this month. The R&B/Neo Soul compilation is the debut effort from Muse Recordings, a new Detroit-based record label. "Everyone complains that there's no good music on the radio," said Marcus Collins, a Detroit native, who co-founded Muse Recordings with Mike Muse, of Lansing. "Well the opportunity to enjoy quality music is here, because that's what this album provides." Marc's Project features dynamic, classically trained vocalists who cross the genre boundaries of R&B, Hip-Hop, Jazz and Gospel while delivering with soul, style and sincerity. The album's 16 tracks feature a combination of passionate music and conversational lyrics that delve into the various aspects of love in a refreshing, honest way. Collins, 25, and Muse, 26, who runs the satellite office in New York, decided to launch an independent record label in 2002 after obtaining engineering degrees from the University of Michigan because of their desire to impact the world through the universal language of music. "It all ties back to our mission to deliver songs that address the everyday aspects of love, life and spirit," Collins said. "We want the music to speak for itself. The music is the message." The album release will signal the return of classic soul music back to it's home in the city of Detroit. And come November 23, music lovers will have the opportunity to visit their local and online music stores to purchase a copy of Marc's Project .
