"Holy smokes!!! This is a killer compilation CD, something I rarely review, but in this case, I make an exception. Nascar, Fox, and MCA really put their heads together for this one and with surprisingly good results. Most of the material is classic rock songs being covered by artists in the hard rock/heavy metal/blitzkrieg genres. Many surprises too. Slayer's take on Steppenwolf's Born to be Wild is Brutal in a good way. And surprise, Dave Lombardo is on drums!!! (probably his only recording that will be with the band since his brief stint back in the band). Also notable is Gov't Mule's Driving Rain is killer, and surprise again, James Hetfield of Metallica deliver's possibly is greatest vocal delivery to date. Very very cool jam. Staind breaks the soft, acoustic mode with a song (See Through) that is heavy and has a memerable riff and chorus!!
Slipknot's (sic) remix is better than the studio version by far, and just smokes. Buckcherry's Willie Nelson classic, On The Road Again gets the raunch n' roll toxic version. Also good are Les Claypool's version of Hot Rod Lincoln (very funky-rock sounding), Zombie's remix, Dry Cell's version of STP's Heaven & Hot Rods. Basically a killer comp CD for fans of Nascar, fans of METAL, and if you happen to be a fan of NASCAR and METAL then this a double guilty pleasure. Crank it Up and Crank it LOUD!"
CRANK this CD WAY UP!!!

"This is most definitely a five star album. The energy never stops with hard sounds from a perfect mix of great rock bands. It's hard not to CRANK this CD up! Nonpoint's "Circles" and "See Through" by Staind are a couple of my favorite tracks on the album although it is one of the few CD's I own that I can play straight through. All of the bands are at their best on this compilation and any true hard rock/heavy metal fan (or fan of Nascar at that) will find this to be a killer addition to their collection."

"its been a while since this album was reviewed. i came across it while looking for the track 'hot rod lincoln' and discovering that les claypool did a cover. this is a cool album! there's only one or two songs i don't particularly like. i'm from australia so the whole nascar scene is a little alien to me but who doesn't like fast cars and heavy metal! coupled with the fact that i've only just recently seen 'talladega nights' it adds up to a fun experience! highlights for me are type o negatives 'highway star' and les claypools 'hot rod lincoln', naturally."
